what is the difference between the 9700 and the 9300
According to Phillips these 9700 and 9300 are internally almost identical razors. There are a few mostly minor and cosmetic differences and one rather large price difference. First the 9300 is a medium to dark blue, the 9700 is black. Although both razors use the same cleaning cartridges the cleaning base in the 9700 model has a progress bar showing the cleaning/drying cycle that the 9300 lacks. The 9300 razor case has a 5 bar battery level indicator where the 9700 model has a digital (reading 0%-100%) battery level indicator. Finally the price difference as of 28.Nov.2014 is about $100. Personally, for the exact same shave and only convenience differences, the 9300 is a better deal to me. If you want/need the absolute latest thing for 100$ more that's the 9700
